Every Spring Semester, our chapter will host a Professional Development event. This event aims to help our members prepare their portfolios, resumes, and all professional outlets as a means to better prepare them for their professional careers. More than 78% of MDC's students work while attending college, 22% of whom work full time, 58% have low incomes and 49% fall below the federal poverty level for their household size. Utilizing the resources available to us from Miami Dade College’s MDC Works Office, our Chapter will provide its members with the opportunity to have their professional pictures taken, build a relevant and updated resume, set up a LinkedIn account and update it, and learn more about the importance of professional networking.
